Peak Coal is coming

The signature “Concerned Analyst” makes the following statement:

“While reserve data for coal is questionable, in light of the importance of coal to the global economy, it is essential that credible experts, possibly a group of peak oil analysts, issue a series of extensive, in-depth reports on future coal production.”

I just like to inform that just now the Global Energy Systems Group at Uppsala University has three articles about future coal production submitted for peer reviewing. The first have just been sent in with the final corrections and we hope that it will be accepted for publication within a week. The others are in the peer review process.

On Wednesday this week the Energy Committee of the Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences visited our group for an update off our research. My Ph.D. student Michel Höök then gave a summery of our coal research.
