ASPO Germany annual meeting in Berlin

(It is now six years since ASPO had its third conference in Berlin and it was very nice to be back again. At that time ASPO was a European NGO with 30 members. Today we are an international organization with 30 member nations. ASPO Germany is one of these national organizations. On 18 May it had its annual meeting and simultaneously organized a symposium for those interested. The media showed interest for the symposium and, before it began, we held a press conference. The most influential among the attending media was ZDF German Television, the second largest in Germany who documented the proceedings. According to the director Hans Koberstein they are working on a documentary on Peak Oil and a 10-minute long interview with the chairperson for ASPO is planned.

I have a fairly limited knowledge of German so it was a pity that all except my presentation were in German since they all seemed to be very interesting. It meant that I got to concentrate on my own presentation with the title ”Peak Oil – The Future of the Oil-Production 2010-2030”. During the symposium I let my video camera record what I said with the intention that it should be accessible as quickly as possible. Unfortunately there was apparently a problem with the sound but one can still hear what I said. Someone has said that every part can be a maximum of 10 minutes and so that means there are seven parts. If you think that it is interesting I can consider making a new recording:

(1) Post Peak Oil Production, Aleklett, president of ASPO

(2) Post Peak Oil Production, Aleklett, president of ASPO

(3) Post Peak Oil Production, Aleklett, president of ASPO

(4) Post Peak Oil Production, Aleklett, president of ASPO

(5) Post Peak Oil Production, Aleklett, president of ASPO

(6) Post Peak Oil Production, Aleklett, president of ASPO

(7) Post Peak Oil Production, Aleklett, president of ASPO

In the evening there was a dinner for ASPO Germany and friends and the video camera roamed around and recorded “reflections”. We will see whether there is anything worth watching.
