On November 6, the Global Energy Systems group is proud to welcome professor Charles A.S. Hall from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry to the Department of Earth Sciences, Uppsala University. Professor Hall is, for instance, known for introducing the concept of energy return of investment (EROI) and writing the book Energy and the Wealth of Nations. He has just as coauthor written an article about the American presidential election in “The Hill”: What no candidate says about energy and the economy .

At 14.15, November 6, in Zootissalen in Zoologen, EBC, Uppsala University, professor Hall will give a talk about our resource constrained world depleting the highest quality resources, the peak in oil production and a likely continued decrease in EROI on oil and other resources and its implications for the economy.

Public, as well as employees at Uppsala University, are welcome to come and listen.

(A seminar in Stockholm with Charles Hall on November 7 has been fully booked since the beginning of October.)
